When I wrote the Silver Demons I found myself drawn to the idea of exploring LGBTQ history as a part of the story. It made sense to me at least, that a LGBTQ superhero story should pay homage to real world queer heroes.
We’ve made too many contributions to history and those contributions are so often ignored as our lives are too often straightened out in history books and Hollywood films (and other places as well).
Which is why I decided to use the story I was writing to draw attention to the accomplishments of the LGBTQ community.
However, as time went on, I found myself using the story to explore darker aspects of queer history.
Which is why I wanted to make this note.
Let it be known that the Silver Demons is a violent story.
